Governor Ritter has designated CORHIO as the Qualified State-Designated Entity to receive ARRA Health Information Technology Funds as part of its role to facilitate health information exchange to improve care for all Coloradans. Many of the federal guidelines for receiving and disbursing funds is still being developed. As information becomes available, it will be posted on this website.

On October 16, 2009, CORHIO submitted Colorado’s HIE Strategic Plan developed in concert with leaders from across the health care spectrum as part of the submission for accessing federal HIE funds from the ARRA HITECH Act. This strategic plan offers information on the numerous health care quality efforts occurring in Colorado, the state of health information exchange and health information technology in the state, as well as efforts to successfully support further implementation across Colorado.
