Chief Executive Officer
Morgan Honea serves as the CEO of the Colorado Regional Health Information Organization (CORHIO). Under his leadership, CORHIO has grown at its fastest pace since inception - exchanging health information between 67 hospitals, more than 5,000 providers, and 17,000 users. He has also expanded the organization’s partnership with the State of Colorado as well as numerous payers and accountable care organizations to advance the Triple Aim in Colorado. Morgan serves in a governance capacity for multiple organizations and as the representative for health information exchange on the Governor’s Commission for eHealth Innovation. He attended the University of Tulsa, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and the Missouri State University with a Master’s Degree in Health Administration.
Catherine (Kate) Horle
Chief Operations Officer
Kate Horle is the Chief Operations Officer and Privacy Officer for the Colorado Regional Health Information Organization (CORHIO). Kate oversees the Outreach, Transformation Support Services and Internal Operations teams at CORHIO. She has a 25-year, varied business background with a focus on general business operations, communications and public policy. Kate is a creative strategic planner and negotiator and has been responsible for positive financial outcomes in both the private and non-profit sectors. She is experienced in team management, research, program development, advocacy, coalition building and management, public speaking and message development. Kate received her Master of Public Administration degree in Public Policy and Bachelor’s in Political Science from the University of Colorado Denver. Kate currently serves on the Board of the Strategic Health Information Exchange Collaborative (SHIEC).
Chief Strategy Officer
Kelly Joines is the Chief Strategy Officer of the Colorado Regional Health Information Organization (CORHIO). She is responsible for directing health information (HIE) strategy, including product development, enhancing existing HIE services and driving new innovations. She has been with the organization since its inception in 2009. Prior to joining CORHIO, Kelly was an operational improvement consultant at Policy Studies, Inc. where she managed functional, operational, and user requirements development and testing activities for an SCHIP enrollment and eligibility system. She has considerable systems development, implementation, and operations experience across multiple industries, as well as large scale IT project and program management expertise. Kelly received her Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
Chief Financial Officer
Peggy Micklich is the Chief Financial Officer of the Colorado Regional Health Information Organization (CORHIO). Peggy brings a great deal of healthcare nonprofit financial experience to her position, as well as a positive outlook on the direction healthcare is taking. With more than 20 years of financial management experience, Peggy has brought new ideas and process to CORHIO that align with company strategies and key performance indicators. Prior to her role at CORHIO, over an eighteen-year period, Peggy held CFO positions at Colorado federally qualified health centers including Sunrise Community Health, Plains Medical Center and Valley-Wide Health Systems. She is also a former member of the Colorado Community Health Network and the Colorado Community Managed Care Network – where she served on the Finance Committee. She received her bachelor’s degree of Science from Adams State College and is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Chief People Officer
Amelia Reinkensmeyer is Chief People Officer at the Colorado Regional Health Information Organization (CORHIO), where she manages all the human resources functions for a growing nonprofit organization. Amelia has implemented several programs and processes geared toward making CORHIO an employer of choice in Colorado. Involved with CORHIO since 2009, she has worked to build the staff by strategic recruiting, expanding benefits, enhancing work/life balance, and career development. Prior to coming to CORHIO, she was an Associate at Bolder Business Solutions, where she worked with several organizations including CORHIO on their human resources needs and has also worked as a Product Manager and Client Relationship Manager at previous companies. Amelia has her Bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in Economics from Denison University and her Master’s in Business Administration from University of Chicago.
Chief Information Officer
Deanna Towne is the Chief Information Officer, as well as the HIPAA Compliance Officer, for the Colorado Regional Health Information Organization (CORHIO). Deanna oversees a team of implementation and support services professionals as well as the development of new products to meet the needs of the Colorado community. As the Compliance Officer of CORHIO, Deanna ensures the safety and protection of the sensitive patient information that is stored, processed or transmitted by CORHIO. Prior to joining CORHIO, Deanna held the position of IT Director and Acting Deputy Chief Customer Officer of the Colorado Governor’s Office of Information Technology. In her role, she served as a Health IT executive supporting the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing and the Department of Human Services. Deanna spent over 16 years of her career in the public sector which included the roles of Deputy Director of the Colorado Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and the Budget Director for the Colorado Department of Revenue. She has her Bachelor's degree as well as a Master's in Business Administration degree from Regis University.
Chief Legal Officer
Annie Harrington is the Chief Legal Officer for the Colorado Regional Health Information Organization (CORHIO). In this role, she ensures CORHIO’s compliance with healthcare policy regulations, emerging data privacy laws, and other evolving regulatory areas. Prior to joining CORHIO, Annie was a Principal with Squire Patton Boggs, an international law firm. She provided regular legal counsel on data privacy, regulatory compliance, and public policy matters to healthcare clients, including CORHIO. She brings a great deal of expertise on HIPAA, HITECH, and 42 CFR Part 2 compliance and is accustomed to negotiating complex data agreements with unique data privacy questions and to devising and executing public policy strategies at the state and federal levels. Annie has her Bachelor’s degree from Princeton University, her Master’s degree in Bioethics from the University of Pennsylvania, and her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Colorado School of Law.
