2016 Hot Issues in Health Care
Annual conference from Colorado Health Institute
3225 Broadmoor Valley Road
Colorado Springs, CO 80906
Description
The 2016 Hot Issues in Health Care conference will take place on Wednesday, December 14, and Thursday, December 15, at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado Springs.
When we gather in mid-December, the contentious election season will be over. A new president, a new U.S. Congress and a new Colorado General Assembly will be in place. What will this mean for the future of health care policy in Colorado? Join the Colorado Health Institute as we delve into that question.
Keynote Speaker
Dr. Alice Rivlin, Senior Fellow in Economic Studies at the Brookings Institution, joined us from Washington, D.C.
Dr. Rivlin founded the Congressional Budget Office, which provides nonpartisan budgetary and economic information to support the federal budget process, in 1975. She has also served as Vice Chair of the Federal Reserve Board and Director of the White House Office of Management and Budget.
She is a recipient of a MacArthur Foundation “genius grant,” among other awards. A frequent contributor to research, discussion and congressional testimony around health insurance in the U.S., Dr. Rivlin brought a valuable perspective to our discussion. We were honored to have her.
