Touchstone Medical Imaging Now Sending Radiology Reports to CORHIO

Touchstone Imaging is helping to improve care coordination for Colorado patients by making radiology test results available in the HIE for community providers to access.

Touchstone Imaging is now sending radiology results, including MRIs, CT scans, X-rays, Ultrasounds, and other diagnostic imaging tests performed at their nine locations, into the secure CORHIO health information exchange (HIE) network for authorized caregivers to access. The results are available as reports; actual images are not available at this time.

Touchstone Medical Imaging is headquartered in Tennessee and operates diagnostic imaging facilities across the country. Their locations span the metro area from Lafayette in the north to Centennial in the south.

Test Result Exchange Improves Overall Healthcare Costs

A recent study by the Brookings Institute found that when providers have access to health information exchange, the number of costly and unnecessary medical procedures are reduced. The study’s authors estimated Medicare could save $63 million annually if all U.S. physicians took advantage of health information exchange. Other studies have shown a direct correlation between HIE and diagnostic imaging.

Radiology Reports Now Available to HIE Participants

Touchstone radiology reports are available immediately in the PatientCare 360 web portal (Community Health Record). We can also push those reports directly into your electronic record system through our Results Delivery product.
