CORHIO Welcomes Three New Board Members

Three new CORHIO Board of Director members begin their terms of service to help guide our organization’s mission to improve health information exchange in Colorado.

Dr. Patrick Guffey of Children’s Hospital Colorado, Jean Haynes of UCHealth and Dr. Mark Radlauer of HealthONE have joined CORHIO’s Board of Directors, effective January 1, 2018.

“We are pleased to welcome these new CORHIO Board members who join a group of dedicated leaders from the Colorado healthcare community,” says Morgan Honea, CORHIO CEO. “They each bring a unique perspective to this role and will be ideal resources to help CORHIO continue to innovate and fulfill our mission to empower people, providers, and communities by providing the information they need to improve health.”

“One of the hallmarks of the effective and efficient use of the healthcare system is data and information sharing,” says Steven Summer, CORHIO Board Chair. “It is in that spirit that CORHIO is so fortunate to have these three healthcare leaders joining the Board. Their wisdom and experience will be tremendous assets to the organization as it continues to support Colorado healthcare and its patients.”

Patrick Guffey, MD

Patrick Guffey, MD, serves as the Associate Chief Medical Information Officer at Children’s Hospital Colorado. In addition to this role, Dr. Guffey is also an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology, practices Pediatric and Obstetric anesthesia, and serves as a leader on many safety and patient outcomes-related organizations. He brings a wealth of clinical informatics and quality improvement experience to the CORHIO Board.

Dr. Guffey hopes to “demonstrate extraordinary commitment to the organization and its mission, as well as use my clinical experience to illustrate the importance of this work to our greater audience and influence its adoption.”

Jean Haynes, RN, MBA

Jean Haynes, RN, MBA, Chief Population Health Officer for UCHealth, has an interest in the population-based patient care model and brings 30 years of experience in healthcare delivery, managed care and insurance organizations to the CORHIO Board. Ms. Haynes hopes to guide the organization’s mission to ensure that measurable health improvements are in fact linked to the information that is provided by CORHIO.

In addition, she has great interest in enabling clinical integration across the continuum of care.  “I plan to ensure that it is well known throughout Colorado that CORHIO is uniquely positioned to continue to lead this clinical integration,” says Haynes. 

Mark A. Radlauer, MD

Mark A. Radlauer, MD, is Chief Medical Information Officer at HCA Continental Division/HealthONE and a practicing Emergency Department physician at multiple HealthONE hospitals. Dr. Radlauer brings a unique provider perspective and a wealth of clinical information system expertise to the CORHIO Board. 

Dr. Radlauer is a long-standing CORHIO advocate and “supports its mission to improve the healthcare of Colorado residents as the primary entity that enables easy, point-of-care clinical information access for all state providers, including recent hospital or clinic visits and use of controlled substances.”
